This moated tower was situated atop Galley Hill and was the first tower in Bexhill Parish. A photograph from around 1890 shows the tower perilously close to the cliff edge. As with its neighbour, 43 on Bulverhythe cliff, the sea eroding the cliff caused the tower to gradually collapse onto the beach by the end of the century.
