Since the South Coast Martello Towers went online in July 1998, there have only been three distinct designs, the previous revision having been in September, 2001.
I've been meaning to redesign the site for a couple of years now, and this new design is just the first phase in a complete overhaul. I've decided to do this in stages, as trying to do it all in one go has left the site appear neglected in the past. This way, the site is more frequently updated as each stage is completed.
The new design took priority over everything else, as the old code was causing some problems in different browsers. Some minor changes have been made; the tower text map has been incorporated into the navigation of the tower pages, and the 3-D pages have temporarily been removed.
